Beyond Visuals Verona 2026 has come to an end, but it is still very much alive in our hearts and minds. We, Claudio Nichele and Federica Tabone, would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Our heartfelt thanks go to:

• All participants, for making this gathering such a special experience. Whether you are an experienced visual practitioner or completely new to visual thinking; whether you are a member of the European Visual Practitioners (EVP), the International Sketchnote Community (ISC), both communities, or neither, your openness, commitment and enthusiasm made these days truly unforgettable.
• Everyone who facilitated a Barcamp session, shared their knowledge and experience, or hosted a question. Your willingness to contribute created a rich learning experience for everyone.
• Our wonderful team of volunteers, who worked tirelessly, often behind the scenes, before and throughout the event. Your dedication, care and generosity made all the difference.
• Our sponsors and partners, whose support helped make Beyond Visuals Verona 2026 possible and enabled us to offer such a rich and diverse programme. See who they are.

What’s next?

• We would be very grateful if you could spare just three minutes to complete our evaluation form (you received it in your email inbox and also in our Whatsapp group). Your feedback will help us improve future events.
• As promised, you will soon receive a written summary of the collective harvesting sessions, together with the videos recorded by many of you, a photo gallery from our photographer, and the event highlights video created by our videographer.

Looking ahead

• The next gathering in the International Sketchnote Camp series will take place in Belgium in 2027 (ISC27BE). We will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the very first ISC camp, which was held in Hamburg in 2017, at what will be the 10th edition (think for 2 seconds about how extraordinary this possibility is). Continuing the collaborative spirit of Beyond Visuals Verona 2026, where the ISC and EVP communities joined forces to co-create this gathering, everyone with an interest in visual thinking is warmly invited. Whether you are a member of the ISC, the EVP, the IFVP, or simply passionate about visual thinking, we hope to see you in Belgium to celebrate this important milestone together.
• The EVP community is organising a gathering near Lucerne, Switzerland, from 18 to 20 June 2027. The event is open to members, curious newcomers and allies alike.
• The IFVP International Summit 2026, which will be hosted in Cape Town, South Africa, from 6 to 9 October 2026.

Thank you once again for being part of Beyond Visuals Verona 2026. We leave this gathering with gratitude, joy and many wonderful memories, and we hope to meet you again soon.

Have you participated in an International Sketchnote Camp (ISC) or a European Visual Practitioners (EVP) event in the past? Then you are warmly invited to the 2026 gathering created by the communities, for the communities of sketchnoters, graphic recorders and visual facilitators.

For the first time ever, the International Sketchnote Community (ISC) and the European Visual Practitioners (EVP) are coming together to host one shared event in full BarCamp mode. A space to build strong connections, learn from each other, find inspiration and have fun.

You will find open minds, generous sharing and plenty of time to connect. This is not the kind of event where conversations are rushed, no quick chats after lunch and no skipped workshops. Instead, there will be space, time and good food to gather, catch up and build new relationships.

Our principles: authenticity, co-creation, no competition, creativity, generosity, respect, shared space and togetherness.

Why “Beyond Visuals”?

Because sketchnoters, graphic recorders and visual facilitators can go beyond markers. If we can draw, we can also build, shape ideas and make concepts tangible by using the same visual language beyond 2D.
